What is a spin the wheel tool?
A spin the wheel tool is a digital prize wheel. You enter a list of options, each option becomes a slice, and the wheel spins to a stop on one of them. People use it to settle decisions, pick winners and add a bit of suspense to everyday choices.
SpinTheWheel.pro keeps it simple. The wheel is on the page the moment it loads, there is nothing to install, and nothing is locked behind a login.
How to use the wheel spinner
- Add entries. Type or paste one option per line. The wheel updates as you type.
- Adjust the odds (optional). Add
*3after an entry to triple its chance. - Spin. Press the Spin button, click the wheel, or press space while the wheel is focused.
- Use the result. Spin again, remove the winner, or copy a permanent link to share your wheel.

Why this wheel is different
- Genuinely random. Winners come from the Web Crypto API, not
Math.random(). See how it works. - Everything is free. Weights, remove-winner mode, fullscreen, sharing and embeds need no account.
- Links that last. Share links carry your list inside the URL and never expire.
- Fast and light. No framework, no sign-in wall, and the wheel loads before anything else.
- Accessible. Keyboard spinning, screen reader announcements, strong focus states and reduced-motion support.
- Private. Your entries stay in your browser. We do not receive your lists.
How the randomness works, in plain English
When you press Spin, the page asks your browser's cryptographic random number generator for a number. That number is matched to one entry on your list, taking weights into account, and only then does the wheel animate to that entry. Spin speed, timing and clicking cannot change the result. We explain every step, and what we cannot prove, on our fairness page.
Features at a glance
| Feature | What you get |
|---|---|
| Weighted entries | Add *N after any entry to change its odds. Slice size matches the odds. |
| Remove winner | Draw several winners in order with no repeats. |
| Permanent links | Your list is stored in the link itself, so it does not expire. |
| Embed | Copy an iframe snippet for a blog, class page or OBS browser source. |
| Result record | Each spin offers a shareable record of the entries, winner and time. |
| Accessibility | Keyboard spin, screen reader announcement and reduced-motion support. |
| Privacy | Entries stay in your browser and are not uploaded. |
Tips for a better spin
- Keep entries short so they fit on the slices. For long lists, use the fullscreen view.
- Finalise the list before you spin, especially when others are watching.
- Use Remove duplicates to avoid giving anyone an accidental extra chance.
- Save a permanent link for lists you reuse, such as a class roster or weekly dinner menu.
- Say how the wheel works before a prize draw, then share the result record afterward.

Guides
Frequently asked questions
How do I spin the wheel online?
Type or paste your entries, one per line, then press Spin or tap the wheel. The wheel picks one entry at random and animates to it.
Is this spin the wheel really random?
Yes. The winner is selected with your browser's cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues) before the animation starts, so the spin cannot be steered.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It is free and needs no account. Weights, sharing, embedding and every setting are available to everyone.
Do share links expire?
No. Your list is encoded inside the link, so there is no server copy to expire.
Can I make some entries more likely to win?
Yes. Add an asterisk and a number after an entry, for example "Pizza *3", to give it three times the chance.
Can I remove each winner after it is picked?
Yes. Turn on "Remove winner after each spin" to draw several winners without repeats.
Can I use the wheel on my own website or in a lesson?
Yes. Press "Embed on your site" to copy an iframe snippet, or share the permanent link in your class or stream.
Does it work on phones and tablets?
Yes. The wheel resizes to any screen and runs entirely in your browser.
